Help me fund my new cd “Today is the Day”
It is my hope that you can help me fund my new cd “Today is the Day”. Each day I strive to help inspire, spread hope and make positive change to enhance people’s lives. By sharing my music and story of survival I get to do that! In the last few years I have grown as an artist and as a person. I know now more than ever that this mission is something I stand for and believe in.
Music is said to be the most powerful form of art. When it comes to emotional, physical power—to moving people, to holding sway over the human heart and spirit—music is the supreme art.
Twenty-Eight years ago, when I was 10, cancer gave me an opportunity to explore music; it gave me an escape from the daily routine of chemo and radiation treatment. It laid down a foundation that I built upon year after year and I’m so thankful for that! I have become the artist that I was always destined to be and this new cd reflects that.
This will be a 6-song cd with one of the songs being a song called “This Wish” that I wrote for the Make-A-Wish of Connecticut. When they asked me to write a song for them, I was so honored. I performed it for the first time on March 29th at the Night of Wishes Gala celebrating 5-year-old Sierra who has a life threating illness. It truly was a moving and special moment!
I don’t write this to create feelings of guilt or sadness. I write this to you because I want you to feel my passion for what I know I am meant to be doing…helping to inspire, spreading hope and making positive change to enhance people’s lives.
I have already self-financed the first portion of the recording which included studio time, bass, drums, piano, organ and acoustic guitar but I need your help to finish. I won’t be able to thank you enough if you can help but I certainly will try and I do understand if you can’t.
The total cost for the recording is $12,000. If you can give, any amount that feels right to you, is more than helpful. Depending on your donation amount you will receive a very special gift from me. Below is a list of donation amounts and gifts for you to look over.
